Stainless Steel tubing for automotive exhausts requires a very ductile material for mandrel bending and hydroforming. Therefore, the tube mill must produce a tube with the minimum of work hardening and the highest quality weld seam. The Kusakabe designed QHQ Forming Mill and the three roll Modular Sizing Mill (MSM) is highly recommended for this application. The welding method can be either Laser or HF welding. In addition this mill has a very low change over time which is ideally suited to the automotive industry.
